“Integrity means to be who we really are, only then we can find our purpose. While working with our weavers, I learned that simplicity brings integrity. Our artisans are simple people, who are honest to themselves and their work.” - NK Chaudhary
Drawing a humble inspiration from prominently this among many more values, the design truly resonates around this ethos. The legacy of Jaipur Rugs is made possible by an immersive collaboration of all artisans.

The design of the pavilion takes shape in the hands of these artisans. Their identity and story weave the space together, paying homage to sustainable practice by designing with modular adaptive reuse of the pavilion. This module can plug and play for rural parts of community needs and indeed can be developed more as multifold insert possibilities. The minimal modular stepped display creates a dramatic play with light and shadows carving spotlight niches for rug feature. This in addition allows the parametric form for the central display which strongly narrates the humble yet organic inclusivity of the community right from its makers to buyers. Reflecting on where it all began, the display is centered on traditional rugs to emphasize their distinctiveness in this rapidly modernizing world. To narrate, even the intricate antique patterns can fit seamlessly in any space with ever-changing modern design styles.
Creating a sensory experience, the reflection in the mirror connects the knots of the artisans with their engraved identity, the rug and the user embracing each other.
In all its grandeur, this pavilion offers a rooted yet sophisticated integration of its presence!
